Cairo!
We're in Cairo!! After a long flight literally full of old people tourists, we landed about 2 hours ago. The plane was..interesting. None of the movies worked and everyone stood up for like the whole flight. Now we're at Amanda's dad's condo in like a gated community. I'm exhausted!

We're leaving today!! I'll update when we get there which will be around 4am NJ time and 1pm Egyptian time. The flight is about 10 hours on the way there. I've got my ipod, Tylenol PM and melatonin so I'm all set to sleep through the whole thing.

Egypt!

So, after 3 and a half long years, I graduated from Northeastern and what better way to stall being an adult than another adventure! In 6 days, Amanda and I leave for Cairo for 10 days. The main event of the trip is Amanda's cousin's wedding but we're going to have lots of time to see everything in Cairo - including the pyramids, Islamic Cairo, Coptic Cairo and the Syphnx. As I said before I went to Bosnia, I've traveled a lot in my almost 22 years of life but this is something that I have never done. I've never been to the Middle East or an Islamic country so I'm really excited. Cairo is super safe so I'm not as much worried about that but it will be different to stick out more than I ever have. Even Amanda looks Egyptian so there's pretty much no way that I'm going to blend in at all.
Anyways, hopefully I can use this blogspot thing to write about what we're doing in Egypt. I can't say it enough but I'm so incredibly excited. This trip is going to be the perfect ending to almost four years of school and the beginning of the real world!

Vares, Jajce, Kozarac and Sipovo
I'm so sorry that I haven't been writing in this blog since I've been in Bosnia! We are so busy or exhausted all of the time so its hard to keep up. Right now we are in Sipovo and have a camp tomorrow. I will try to write everything tmrw on the bus. The main gist of everything is that this is the most amazing thing that I have ever been apart of and I'm so happy that I'm here.

Sarajevo
We finally made it to Sarajevo after 3 flights! The flights were pretty short and I slept for most of it. Our main host family and some of the interpreters met us at the airport. All of our luggage and all the bags made it here too! We loaded up the bus and came to the street that we're all living on while we're in Sarajevo. Our host mother speaks no english besides 'bathroom' and 'breakfast' but she is really nice. Me and my roomate are in kind of our own apartment that's across the hall from where our host lives. Its so cute! My room is covered in jesus and mary pictures.
Tonight we went out to dinner with everyone. The food was SO good! They eat a lot of meat here so I'm happy. The interpreters are all really cool too.
Tomorrow we're visiting a tunnel museum near the airport and the bus driving is going to point out some of the points where things happened during the war. Then we're off to Vares where we'll have our first mini-camp. It'll be interesting to see how that goes. After that we drive to Jajce and get ready for our first big camp!
This is all so exciting and I can't wait to see how everything goes!! Ill be able to update the blog everyday thanks to my wonderful blackberry.

Almost Ready
We're leaving on Saturday!!! I'm starting to get more nervous.. What if I don't like the food and eat granola bars for two weeks or even worse offend someone (my host mothers)? What are the towns going to look like? So many stupid worries going through my mind! I'm starting to pack and I'm pretty sure that I have every thing that I could possibly need.
I'll update on Saturday when we get there!!! I rented a blackberry so I can get emails and internet.
