So, after 3 and a half long years, I graduated from Northeastern and what better way to stall being an adult than another adventure! In 6 days, Amanda and I leave for Cairo for 10 days. The main event of the trip is Amanda's cousin's wedding but we're going to have lots of time to see everything in Cairo - including the pyramids, Islamic Cairo, Coptic Cairo and the Syphnx. As I said before I went to Bosnia, I've traveled a lot in my almost 22 years of life but this is something that I have never done. I've never been to the Middle East or an Islamic country so I'm really excited. Cairo is super safe so I'm not as much worried about that but it will be different to stick out more than I ever have. Even Amanda looks Egyptian so there's pretty much no way that I'm going to blend in at all.
Anyways, hopefully I can use this blogspot thing to write about what we're doing in Egypt. I can't say it enough but I'm so incredibly excited. This trip is going to be the perfect ending to almost four years of school and the beginning of the real world!
katie, you're not 22. stop lying.
